Received a call at the second floor system was not operating, pawn arrival I found the service switch at the furnace had been turned off by a box that fell. The switch was turned on and the furnace and air conditioning unit started up immediately..
Received a call that the air conditioning system for the second floor was not operating, upon arrival I found that the condenser was not coming on. I found that the wiring on the low voltage side coming into the unit was pulled back and bare and exposed to metal, I cut the wiring back and made the corrections is required. Went to the furnace to see if it had blown a fuse, and upon opening the unit found that the fuse is in good shape. Found that there was no 120 volt high voltage signal coming to the furnace, found a second switch inside the closet on the right hand side of the door that was off. I flipped the switch on and confirmed that the furnace and the condenser came on, checked refrigerant pressures and confirm that the unit is cooling at this time
Arrived on site to check out issues with air balancing in the house, started with the first floor. The great room in the back of the house has floor registers and it is remaining very cold at the floor level due to the vaulted ceilings. My recommendation is to turn the ceiling fan on blowing down towards the ground and also to find deflectors for the floor registers to blow the air across the floor versus going straight up the outside wall. I closed down the dampers for the bedroom on the back right hand side of the house, the closet and the bathroom for that room. Hopefully this will allow for more airflow into the remainder of the first floor.
